Hayat-e-Nau started its work in February 1997 with a Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Program for Disabled Children under the supervision and management of Caritas Pakistan Hyderabad and financed by Mensen in Nood (Caritas – The Netherlands) up till December 2000 when they phased out from Pakistan.
It was set up in response to an urgent need to provide services to disabled children within the community with the right to education, health care, rehabilitation and an opportunity to maximize their human potential.
Legal Status
Hayat-e-Nau was registered in February 2004 as an independent organization having registration # 4107, under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860 with Government of Sindh – Pakistan.
