| Hayat-e-Nau [Urdu for New Life] Society for Human Development is a local, officially registered NGO with a strong grassroots base within the local communities of District Hyderabad (population: approximately 2 million) where it works.
The main focus of Hayat-e-Nau is to improve the quality of life of Children & Youth with Disabilities by providing rehabilitation services, daily life skills and primary education adapted to their ability as well as working for the Empowerment of Women, within local communities, through capacity building that addresses Development Issues, Gender Equality, HIV & AIDS, T.B, Environmental Pollution and Rights Based Disability Awareness. This is accomplished through the medium of Street Theatre and Interactive Dialogue Sessions.

To build an inclusive society that cultivates a positive attitude towards persons with disabilities recognizing their right to education, health & rehabilitation as well as their needs for access to public facilities including transport, and where the empowerment of women contributes to the well being, growth and development of all.
Our Mission:
Hayat-e-Nau seeks to cross boundaries of race, creed, colour and gender through practicing an open door policy that welcomes everyone into its mission of promoting a positive attitude towards disabled persons and working for their rights and social inclusion in society.
Hayat-e-Nau strives to work for community development by empowering women through capacity building and health awareness initiatives, especially focusing on children and women with disabilities and their families.

To enable people with disabilities to contribute and participate in the on going process of rehabilitation, providing them with the necessary tools for self reliance.
Tools:
Awareness Seminars, Workshops, Door to door visits, Street Theatre Performances, Advocacy & Lobbying, Counseling, and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Capacity building of marginalized communities, Development Programs & Projects.
Terms:
To mobilize and judiciously use the available resources for meeting the objectives of Hayat-e-Nau through personal involvement, participation & contribution of its partners, target communities and staff.
Aims & Objectives:
1. Provide quality health & rehabilitation services through our Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Program that maximize the potential of children with physical and intellectual disabilities.
2. To activate and sensitize communities to promote and protect the human rights of children & persons with disabilities through seminars, workshops, interactive community dialogue sessions and street theatre performances at the local community level.
3. To create awareness of health issues that can impact the life of local communities (e.g. T.B, Malaria, Hepatitis, water borne diseases, HIV & AIDS etc.). Thus leading to their prevention and / or treatment.
4. Networking and collaboration with other NGOs, GOs and CBOs at local and national level.

Governance:
Hayat-e-Nau has an Executive Board consisting of 09 members who elect 5 members for its executive committee (EC) for tenure of 2 years.
The President of the Executive Board is the head of the organization. Executive Board is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the vision, mission and programs of Hayat-e-Nau.
Three Board meetings are held annually for the approval of annual budget, expenditure, reports and the updating of the policies & procedures of the organization e.g. Human Resource and Financial Management etc.
Programs and decisions of Executive Board are materialized by staff members, headed by the Executive Director. The Executive Director is responsible for entire administration and programs.
The joint signatures of the Executive Director and the Treasurer operate official bank account. All records and documents are properly maintained for annual audit purpose.
Hayat-e-Nau is guided by the principle of subsidiarity. The staff and volunteers are accountable to the Executive Director who, in turn, is accountable to the Board.
